This is the first bulletin for a long time. I sincerely apologise for this.
Our Club's 40th Birthday was celebrated with a spit-braai at the Horse & Mill on the 8th September. This was enjoyed by all the Rotarians and many guests. Jack did his usual good job with the braai, and the ladies produced excellent salads and dessert to got with it.
The Harley Davidson Rally was held on the 13th and 14th of October. The weather was kind, and the Rally was a great success, although attendance was slightly down owing to the change in dates from the usual September long weekend. It seems that the organisers are planning for bigger Rallies in the future so that the event will become a local equivalent of the Harley Davidson "Sturgis" Rally in the USA.
I hope to be able to do a fuller bulletin in the future, but this depends in part on the suppport I get.
If anybody has any pictures I could use in this bulletin, or Margaret could use in the scrapbook please let me know. I can use them on CD (preferably in JPEG format) or as colour negatives, slides or snaps.
Any suggestions for improvement of this bulletin will be appreciated, as will any contributions. Please also let me know about any mistakes I have made or anything I have left out.
